William Arthur "Bill" Neiswanger, 59 year-old long time Montague resident, passed away suddenly in Brookings, Oregon on July 30, 2006.
Bill was born in Fullerton on April 3, 1947 to Billy K. and Mary A. Neiswanger. He moved to Siskiyou County in 1966. Bill was married to Rusty Simpson in 1978. He lived in Medford, Oregon around 1969. He worked for Siskiyou County as a maintenance engineer for ten years. Bill also worked as a building inspector.
Bill was a member of the Lions Club. He loved to fish, go to the coast in his new motorhome, building and working with his hands. Most of all he loved to give his friends a hard time.
In addition to his wife, Rusty Neiswanger of Montague; survivors include his mother, Mary A. Neiswanger of Medford, Oregon; son, William A. Neiswanger Jr. of Camarillo; son, Bryan L. Neiswanger of Williamsberg, Va., son, William J. Lackey II of Odgen, Utah; son and daughter-in law, Robert D. and Lori Lackey of Wagner, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary R. and Aaron M. Brandes of Lemoore; brother, John Neiswanger of Gridley; sister, Karen Perrault of Los Angeles; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in Girdner Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with chaplain Keith Bradley, officiating. Contributions may be made to the Rescue Ranch, P.O. Box 195, Hornbrook, CA 96044. Girdner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
