Delicious Springtime Drinks

Spring is just around the corner and that means that we're getting close to outdoor parties and entertaining. This season, why not treat your guests and family to some smooth, delicious fresh fruit drinks? You can create 'mocktails' by leaving out the alcohol and serving them during the day as a fruity, fresh drink for the kids, or you can "spice it up a little" later in the evening and make lovely cocktails that are sure to please. Either way, who doesn't love fresh fruit in a glass?

Watermelon Mocktail

1 cup watermelon purée

1 teaspoon grenadine syrup

Juice from one fresh orange

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

2 cups ice cubes

Place all of the ingredients in a martini shaker and shake for 20 seconds.

Strain the chilled liquid into a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Makes 1 or 2 mocktails.

You can add a shot of chilled premium vodka to the shaker and make this mocktail a cocktail! v
