Austin Harfst is the son of Robby Harfst and Susan Shammel.

His awards and honors include a 4.0 grade-point average; National Merit Commended Student; Kiwanis Student of the Month; 2006, 2007 All Conference Golf; first place parliamentary debate at Stanford University 2007; first place parliamentary debate at the University of Oregon 2007; first place public debate at Willamette University 2006; lettered all four years in golf.

College plans: University of Oregon in Eugene.

Career plans: "None at this point. I'll have to see what interests me in college."

Elizabeth R. Wood is the daughter of Thomas and Malinda Wood.

Her honors and awards include a 4.0 grade-point average; many Student of the Year awards in American studies, chemistry, choir (two years), math (three years), Spanish and stained glass and jewelry. Other honors include National Honor Society; the National Honor Society for High School Scholars; included in "Who's Who Among American High School Students."

College plans: Western Oregon University in Monmouth.

Career plans: To study American sign language and teach elementary age students.

Shanndara McNamara is the daughter of Ky McNamara and Shereen Gordon.

Chelsey Boehnke is the daughter of John and Susan Boehnke.

Victoria Rose Mayfield is the daughter of Karen Delsman and Marcus Mayfield.

Rachel Fine is the daughter of Doug and Susanne Fine.

Allison L. Ford is the daughter of David and Suzy Ford.

Kristen Haga is the daughter of Greg and Val Haga.

Sara Godshall is the daughter of Steve and Anne Godshall.

Her honors and awards include a 4.04 grade-point average; National Merit Scholarship Program Letter of Commendation; AP Scholar with Distinction; Rotary Youth Leadership Award; Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Humanities and Social Sciences Award; OASSA Honors Team, Math; Varsity volleyball four-year letter recipient; Most Inspirational Player; Varsity golf two-year letter recipient; Rookie of the Year; Varsity softball two-year letter recipient; Crusader Award.

Career plans: To become a pediatrician.

SOUTH MEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL

Kayla Michael is the daughter of Rick Michael.

Her honors and awards include a 4.0 grade-point average; Honors Society; in 4-H for eight years; varsity swim team, district finals all through high school; YMCA swimming (Stingrays); community service for the Ruch Library; and helping with children and retreats at Applegate Christian Fellowship.

College plans: Rogue Community College for two years, then transfer to a four-year college.

Career plans: To study to be a nurse.

Ryan Haran is the son of James and Michelle Haran.

His honors and awards include a 4.0 grade-point average; 10 years total experience in the martial arts; 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Open Style Karate; seven years' experience in Kosho Kempo Ryu; co-founder of Yonkaze no Tensokudo; Oregon State University Presidential Scholarship.

College plans: Attend Oregon State University as undergraduate in premed (major in exercise and sport science), then apply to Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine or University of Washington School of Medicine.

Career plans: Become a physician with interests in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

College plans: George Fox University, majoring in nursing with a minor in Spanish.

Career plans: Nursing.

Meghan Auker Becker is the daughter of Theresa Auker and Geoffrey Becker.

Her honors and awards include a 4.0 grade-point average; LINK leader; Torch Honor Society; attended Stanford Summer College; member of dance performance group; enrolled in AP and SOU classes.

College plans: University of Montana.

Career plans: International journalism.

Brendan Morrell is the son of Marty McGuire and Eric Morrell.

His honors and awards include a 4.0 grade-point average; National Merit Commendation; 2007 Five-State Regional Gymnastics Champion, first place; University of Pittsburgh Full Tuition Honors Scholarship.

College plans: University of Pittsburgh Honors College.

Career plans: Study Chinese, philosophy and political science and pursue international law.

Walt Wimmer is the son of Tom and Lauri Wimmer.

Nicholas K. Card is the son of Michael S. and Pamela E. Card.
