Discover a regional celebration of the arts when the third annual Shady Cove River ArtWalk takes place along the banks of the Rogue River on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12.

Discover a regional celebration of the arts when the third annual Shady Cove River ArtWalk takes place along the banks of the Rogue River on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12.

More than 75 fine artists and artisans will present a range of work that includes paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, pottery, glass art, silver jewelry and more during the event. Award-winning artists too numerous to name will be at the event. The art walk begins in the conference room at the Edgewater Inn on Rogue River Drive and follows a grass-lined path along the river to the Rogue River RV Park. Visitors can sign the guestbook at the entrance for a chance to wine a signed and framed print by Western artist Carl Seyboldt.

On Saturday, there will be live music by Sound Traditions from 10 a.m. to noon; Chris 'n' Dom will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Joe Holiday and The Outlaws, featuring the Millard Sisters, will perform from 1 to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, Sound Traditions will perform from 10 a.m. to noon and Lacy Musard will perform from 1 to 3 p.m.

Puppet shows for the kids will be presented by Kelly McCormick at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. both days. There will be wine tasting from Crater Lake Cellars, and food and beverages will be available.

The River ArtWalk hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Free parking will be available near Windmill Square in downtown Shady Cove, and a trolley will be available to shuttle visitors to the inn. Call 821-4700.
