Police seek help finding missing woman

Vance Renee Jean

The Medford Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon would like your help in locating Renee Jean Vance, 22, who is wanted on a minor warrant but has disappeared and left her family and young child behind.

Vance was last seen in the Medford area in mid-November 2007 at a house on Delta Waters Road. Her car was found abandoned by family members a short time later. Vance has left behind most of her belongings as well as her 2-year-old child. The fact that she has missed her birthday and the Christmas holidays has raised concern among her family and the police. Vance was aware that she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, held by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, and may be missing voluntarily or may be involved in some activity that has forced her to leave the area.

Vance is described as a white female adult, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds. She has brown or red hair and hazel eyes. She has a mole on her upper lip and scars on her knee and forehead. She also has tattoos of three dots and a cross on her left hand, and a playboy bunny on her abdomen. She has pierced ears and a piercing in her navel. The picture shown here was taken Sept. 7. Vance may have dyed her hair a different color.
