Morgan Stanley has appointed Mark Hines branch manager of its Global Wealth Management Group office in Medford. Hines previously was assistant manager at Morgan Stanley's Portland office.

A native of Lewiston, Idaho, Hines earned a bachelor's degree from Lewis & Clark College. He is active in the Children's Miracle Network.

Chris Barnett, principal broker and owner of Realty Executives Southern Oregon in Grants Pass, recently earned the Chairman's Award, Diamond Award and Executive Club Award from Realty Executives International at its convention in San Diego.

Julie Horn has joined the Medford Sports Injury & Therapy Center physical therapy staff at the firm's McAndrews Marketplace office.

After earning a degree in interdisciplinary studies at Southern Oregon University, Horn volunteered at the clinic working as a physical therapy aide and receptionist. She later attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, earning a doctorate in physical therapy. Beginning in 2004, she joined an outpatient clinic in Olympia, Wash., as a staff therapist.

Horn received her manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine's Institute of Physical Therapy in December 2006.

Melanie Wilkinson has been named Bank of the Cascades Ashland branch manager. Wilkinson has worked in the financial services industry for 23 years, including mortgage and commercial lending. She also served as a relationship manager as well as a personal banker. A graduate of the Western Agricultural Banking School, Wilkinson also graduated from the Robert H. Frank Sales School and Eastern Washington University.
