    Every Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Rogue Valley Medical Center north lobby. Stop by to have your blood pressure checked for free, courtesy of the RVMC Auxiliary.     Living Well With Chronic Health Problems
    Learn techniques for taking control of your health. These weekly, six-session interactive workshops, held in Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties, help people who have significant health conditions learn how to take control of their health.
    The sessions deal with issues that everyone living with an ongoing health condition faces. Each session lasts two and a half hours. You're encouraged to bring a family member or support person to all sessions.
    The Chronic Disease Self-management Program used in the workshops was developed by Stanford University.

    Lithia Park Nature Walks
    Until Sept. 28, 10-11:30 a.m.
    Every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, plus Saturdays in August, rain or shine, trained volunteer naturalists from Ashland Parks and Recreation will lead an easy 90-minute nature walk through Lithia Park.
    Topics will include trees, flowers, birds, climate, water, geology and the history of the park. Meet at the entrance to Lithia Park, across from the plaza in Ashland. Free.

    Home Winemaking
    Linda Sue Donovan, winemaker at Cowhorn Vineyard, will teach this class on winemaking from the ground up. It will cover the complete process from selecting the equipment, harvesting, crushing, fermentation, stabilization and racking. It will finish with a wine-tasting and a lesson on detecting problem wines.
