- The 34th annual ski swap will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at McNeal Pavilion on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. There will be new ski equipment from Ashland Mountain Supply, Aidion Board Shop, Extreme Board Shop, Sportsmen's Den, Joe's and Jack's Board Shop. - The Southern Oregon High School Equestrian Team (SOHSET) is holding its Seventh Annual Fundraising Auction, "A Carousel of Fun," today at the Jackson County Fairgrounds and Expo Park Compton Arena, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. A silent auction begins at 3:30 p.m. and a live oral auction at 6 p.m. Food will be available. Hundreds of items are available for horse lovers and everyone else. - Craterian Performances presents "Mad Science CSI: LIVE!" an interactive theatrical production for youth and families, at 2 and 5 p.m. today at the Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater, 23 S. Central, Medford. This fast-paced production with special effects will demonstrate scientific techniques of crime-scene investigation. - The Multicultural Association of Southern Oregon will present local talent from around the world from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the South Medford High School auditorium, 815 S. Oakdale Ave. The evening will feature music, song and dance. Advance tickets are available at India Palace Restaurant in Sky Blue Plaza, Medford, and Tree House Books on the plaza in Ashland. - Horizon Institute will presents its eighth annual "Evening in Celebration of the Human Spirit," a program featuring more than 90 singers, actors, dancers, poets and musicians, from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Angus Bowmer Theatre, 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland. This year's theme is "The Next Chapter: Inspiring Transformation." Tickets are $15 and are available at Paddington Station and Bohemia Gallery in Ashland. Call 482-4132.
TUESDAY
Kid Time! Discovery Experience invites kids to make a turkey out of pine cones and construction paper feathers at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kid Time!, 226 N. Ross Lane, Medford. The activity is free with admission to the museum, $5 per child, $2 per adult. Call 772-9922.

- At 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, join the Klamath Bird Observatory for a family bird walk in Lithia Park. Children 5-12 and their parents are invited to learn how to use binoculars and field guides to spot local feathered friends. Meet at 10 a.m. at Northwest Nature Shop, 154 Oak St., Ashland.
