  • Some of the best times spent during the holidays are gathered around a table sharing delicious food and memories with friends and family. A beautifully designed table, arranged with care and creativity, can set just the right look and feel you want to achieve.
No matter what that look is — traditional elegance of reds and golds or a shimmering silver contemporary — we have some beautiful place settings to help spur on those creative ideas and make your table a feast for the eyes as well as the palette.
We hope they inspire you to bring out your good silver and china, and maybe a little fun, too, and take a few design chances this season. Enjoy!
Gold, glimmer and glamour Photo 2
In this traditional, formal setting, it says that this is a special occasion. The soft glimmer of the gold and the sparkle of crystal set the stage for food and friends, and tells your guests they're special. The gold is accented by dark green pine and fir along with non-traditional items found throughout the house. A tea light candle is placed at each setting to highlight the guest. Red berries are sparingly used throughout the tabletop to bring in just a hint of that rich traditional red.
    Burgundy and silver Photo 3
In this setting, a burgundy and silver theme is used to accent a winter wonderland. This arrangement is more "fun" than formal, using little gift packages at each plate for your guest and a centerpiece of silver trees topped with a vase of burgundy roses and silver branches. The whole look is more contemporary and less traditional than the standard red and green displays and is nice if you're looking for something a little different for your table this season.
