MEDFORD — A Klamath Falls man has been sentenced in federal court in Medford to more than 12 years in federal prison for robbing the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino in Chiloquin.
Cody Joe Jonas was sentenced as a career offender, which increases the sentence after two or more convictions for violent felonies.
The 29-year-old Jonas has prior convictions for residential burglary, assault and robbery from Washington state.
Prosecutors say Jonas brandished a firearm at casino employees before fleeing with about $80,000 during the robbery on Aug. 9, 2007.
Jonas arrested in California by San Diego police after a high-speed chase.
His sentencing hearing in Medford was Monday.
