I'd like to share a recipe for maple syrup that's yummy and easy to make.
Homemade
Maple Syrup
1 cup water
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
2 cups of firmly packed brown sugar (I use light brown)
1 teaspoon of maple extract
Dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water and add it to the sugar and cup of water. Stir over medium-high heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Let cool, then add maple extract and stir thoroughly. Pour into your old syrup bottle using a funnel.

I put used tin foil in the dishwasher so it gets used more than once, sometimes several times. I flatten it as much as possible and it comes out clean and ready for another use.

Being tax time, I needed to organize files and didn't want to buy totes to do that. I used a Kirkland butter box with an indent on one side which was perfect. These could even be covered to fit in the office.
