First Friday art walk in Ashland

Oil on board paintings from Ashland artist Inger Nova Jorgensen's "Blue Flight Series" will be displayed through September at Bohemia Gallery and Framing. See listing on this page.

Sculpture by Nelson Davis and Pamela Kroll at Hanson Howard Gallery, India ink drawings by Shan Lollis, oil paintings by Danna Tartaglia and new abstract multi-media paintings and wall sculptures by Linda Lamore will highlight the First Friday art walk in Ashland's downtown and railroad district. The art walk will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., and visitors can look for many other new exhibits at participating galleries, along with wine-tasting and live music.

Art walk maps are available at the galleries and at the Ashland Chamber of Commerce.

GALLERIE KARON: 500 A St., 482-9008. "Woman's Journey: A Life in Paintings" by Rebecca Gabriel. A book of illustrations by the artist will be available. There will be live jazz.

"Horse: Symbol of Power and Freedom," a collection of oil paintings by Dina D'Argo, will be at Toni Renée Copper Gallery. There also will be a book signing by L.W. Barney of Grants Pass, author of "Portrait of Raynee" and "Return to Whiskey Hill."
