A 28-year old Grants Pass man died Monday when he ran onto Highway 238 and was hit by a car, police said.
Timothy Brian Thomas Harden was pronounced dead at the scene of the 7 p.m. accident, according to a news release from Oregon State Police.
OSP Sgt. Jeff Fitzgerald said Stephen Ewan, 62, of Williams, was driving eastbound on Highway 238 about nine miles east of Grants Pass when Harden ran onto the road. Ewan was unable to avoid hitting him, police said.
Police think Harden ran onto the highway from his driveway. His wife arrived at the scene just after the car hit Harden, and she called 9-1-1.
An investigation is continuing.
