Veterans Day event planned

Speakers, a memorial tribute to fallen soldiers and a performance by the Rogue Valley Symphonic Band are planned in honor of Veterans Day at the Veterans Affairs rehabilitation center in White City Nov. 11.

The observation begins at 10 a.m. in the theater at the Veterans Affairs Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, 8495 Crater Lake Hwy. It's free and open to the public.

Retired U.S. Air Force colonel Linda K. Sindt will speak.

Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the ending of World War I.
