Known for its popular red, white and blue balloon, RE/MAX boasts more than 100,000 agents in 60 countries and, in the Rogue Valley, a half-dozen locations and apparently a loyal following of happy customers.

Voted the valley's Best Real Estate Office this year, RE/MAX holds a strong presence in the market "because we do business the old-fashioned way," said agent Jared Hokanson.

"We take care of our clients, period, and it's more than just a mantra. It's really a daily way of doing business," Hokanson said.

"It's about taking notes, follow-through, phone calls, visits. Unfortunately, with the market how it is, we've had to help a lot of homeowners with short sales. Our job is as much about listening to people and figuring out the best possible solutions for the homeowner. Sometimes it's about selling the house and sometimes it's not."
