Three Southern Oregon organizations collected a total of about $83,000 when Meyer Memorial Trust awarded more than $2.3 million to 46 nonprofit organizations last month.
Southern Oregon Film Society, Ashland, collected $25,000 to support the Ashland Independent Film Festival. Within Earthly Bounds, Ashland, received $8,156 to support a training program at small farms in Southern Oregon. Lovejoy Hospice, Grants Pass, got $50,000 to start a Transitions program that creates a bridge of services for patients with terminal illness.
The recent grants brought the total awarded since Meyer Memorial Trust began operating in 1982 to more than $489 million.
