Felony arrests

• Sex abuse — Michael Glenn Evans, 60, of the 3400 block of Edella Avenue, Central Point. Evans made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count each of second-degree sexual penetration and felony fourth-degree assault. He was booked Monday at the Jackson County Jail and released.
• Drugs — Jesse Albert Sorensen, 26, of the 1300 block of East Main Street, Medford. Sorensen made his initial appearance Monday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and attempted second-degree theft. He was booked Monday at the Jackson County Jail and released.
• Drugs — Anthony Ross Minneci, 21, of the 1800 block of Willow Glen Way, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Minneci on charges of felony driving while suspended, possession of a controlled substance and violating probation on a previous conviction of third-degree assault. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday without bail.
• Robbery — Daniel Tony Lawrence, 19, of Palm Springs, Calif. Medford police Monday arrested Lawrence on charges of third-degree robbery and third-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday on $6,000 bail.
• Assault — Felix Valdez-Penunuri, 25, of the 3000 block of Avenue G, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Monday arrested Valdez-Penunuri on charges of third-degree assault and first-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he was being held Monday on $30,000 bail.
