Long-time Troon Vineyard winemaker Herb Quady has been named director of winemaking and Brian Gruber has been promoted to production manager.

Quady became winemaker at Troon Vineyard before the harvest of 2004. During the past five years, he has guided the growth of the winery from 2,000 to more than 8,000 cases. He also will devote more time to his own Quady North label, which began in 2006. Gruber came to Troon in early 2009 in the role of vineyard manager. He will continue to oversee the 33-acre vineyard operation, as well as the day-to-day winery operations.

RoxyAnn Winery Managing Director Michael Donovan has been appointed to the Oregon Wine Board. The semi-independent state agency manages marketing, research and education initiatives supporting advancing the state's $1.4 billion wine and wine-grape industry.

Donovan has been with RoxyAnn since 2003. Previously, he owned Chateaulin Restaurant and Wine Shop in Ashland. He is past president of the Southern Oregon Winery Association, past president of Oregon Wine & Farm Tour and received the outstanding service award from the Oregon Wine Board in 2008.

Avista Corp. has named Jeff D. Heggedahl as president and chief executive officer of its Advantage IQ unit.

Before taking the position with Advantage IQ, an expense-management-solutions provider, Heggedahl was president and chief executive officer of Scantron Corporation in Minneapolis, Minn. He assumes his new post Dec. 1.
