Police seek dead man's family
Authorities have identified a man who was found dead Monday morning in North Medford, and now are looking for his next of kin.
Medford police confirmed the identity of Carl Luther Olsen, 85, who was found dead near Biddle Road. An employee of Advantage Staffing Inc. found Olsen at about 7:30 a.m. Monday surrounded by his belongings. According to police reports, Olsen had been camping in the shrubbery near 2770 Biddle Road when he died.
During the investigation, police found several thousand dollars of cash secured to his body.
Although the cause of Olsen's death is still being investigated, police reports said it doesn't appear to be foul play.
Police have been unable to locate or notify Olsen's family. They are asking anyone who knows where Olsen's family members are to contact police. Call Detective Tony Young at 774-2244.
