Clark Edward Mears
Clark Edward Mears, 70, of Medford, Ore., died Sat., Dec. 12, 2009. He was born Nov. 19, 1939 in Portland, Oregon and later graduated from Medford High School in 1957.
He is a graduate of Oklahoma University and served in the U.S. Navy. After graduating from college, Clark began a successful career in law enforcement and retired in 1978 as the chief investigator for the State of Oregon. During his retirement years, Clark and his wife, Joni, became the owners of many successful local businesses, including most recently The Brick Bar & Grill in Central Point.
Clark is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joni Mears; one sister, Niki Smith; two sons, Christopher Mears and Pat Bertram; three daughters, Dana McLean, Teressa de Schweinitz, and Lori Mears; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Sr. and Dorothy Mears, and one daughter, Adrienne Brooks.
