    1967-2010
    Troy William Brune went home to his beloved Savior on
    Monday, January 4, 2010, after a brave battle with cancer.
    Troy was born in Santa Cruz, Calif. in 1967, to Neva Nuich and Richard Brune, then moved to Southern Oregon in February of 1970. He went to school in Medford and graduated from North Medford High in 1986. He married Jill McDonell in January 1990, and they were blessed with three children, Kylon, Elijah and Megan.
    He worked locally for many years as a shop manager for Clyde Moore. Troy had a heart for troubled youth and gave his time every other Sunday for several years doing a chapel ministry at the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center through Youth for Christ. The family moved to Austin, Texas in June 2008 to fulfill his dream of working as a youth
    counselor with inner city kids.
    He enjoyed wake boarding, boating, skateboarding, and
    riding BMX and dirt bikes. Troy was passionate about the Lord and his family. The most important aspect of his life was his faith in Jesus Christ. Troy's warm and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He touched many lives and will not be forgotten.
    Troy is survived by his wife, Jill; children, Kylon, Elijah and Megan; his parents, Neva and John Nuich, Richard and
    Marcella Brune, and Kathleen and David McDonell;
    grandmother, Doris Portwood; sisters, Tami (Doug) Shafer and Tanalyn (Scott) Pfeil; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, inlaws and stepsiblings.
    A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at
    1:00 p.m. at Living Waters Church, 2200 Roberts Rd.,
    Medford, Ore., with Pastor Darin Ratcliff officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Youth for Christ, 400 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.
