Kyron case status update Thursday

Sheriff will discuss search of missing boy at Multnomah County commissioners meeting

PORTLAND — The long and so far unsuccessful search for Kyron Horman is scheduled for a review this week in Portland.

The missing Oregon boy disappeared from Skyline Elementary School this past June and a massive investigation has not turned up any sightings or led to any suspects.

Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton will update county commissioners on the status of the search at a county board meeting on Thursday.

But Kyron's mother, Desiree Young of Medford, believes her son's stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, knows something about the disappearance — even though police have never named her as a suspect or even a person of interest.

This past weekend, Young handed out and posted fliers in Roseburg, where Terri Horman is believed to be living with her parents, urging her to talk about the case.
