Ann Thompson, 66, of Medford, Ore., passed away May 31, 2011, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Ann was born March 18, 1945, in Lakeview, Ore., to Nick and Amelia Gawronski. After graduating from Lakeview High School, she married Veo Thompson on August 17, 1963. In 1968, they moved to the Rogue Valley.

She was employed with Harry and David at the time of her death. She loved spending time with her flower garden, but her greatest love was having her family around. She was the world's greatest wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister and friend. There will always be a void in our hearts, but she will forever be with us.

She is survived by her husband, Veo; daughters, Sherry Parson, and her husband, Larry, Candace Lacy, Nikki Johnson, and her husband, Mike; eight grandchildren, Seth Brogan, Gary Brogan and his wife Cody, Michael Brogan, Sarah Lacy, Kayla Johnson, Brenda Johnson, Tiffanie Goldstrand, Mikey Johnson; and four great-grandchildren, Trenton, Madison, Treyson and Tayler. Also surviving is her mother, Amelia Simms; stepfather, Don Simms; and four sisters, Rose Davidson, Ginger Pranghofer, Twyla Davidson, and Sue Singleton; and many nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Nick Gawronski.

A celebration of Ann's life will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 1974 East McAndrews Rd., Medford, Ore., on Saturday June 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
