Shelby Anna Cato, 25, of Medford, Ore., left us unexpectedly on July 1, 2011. She was loved unconditionally by her parents, Don and Mona Cato; and leaves her brother, Tim Rupe; his wife, Alicia; and niece, Isabella Hernandez, the joy in her life. She will also be missed by sisters, Shannon Tuttle, of Waukee, Iowa, Jennifer Cato, of LaGrange, Ill, Kelly Cato, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Stacey Cato, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandmother, Vivian Luce; grandparents, Lucian and Mona Lou Cato; her aunt, Kristi Anna Luce; uncles, Joe Harlan, and his wife, Deb, and Jeff Luce. She found so much love and friendship in her life with her "Cubba" Ethan Barrus.
Shelby will always be remembered for her love of music, beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Her favorite times were at the Gorge with family and friends, singing and dancing to Dave Matthews Band. Shelby knew no strangers, and found the good in everyone she met. She loved photography, and was the master of the "one-armed" camera shot. Her words and thoughts were often put into writing for family to enjoy.
A celebration of her beautiful life, for family and friends, will be held at a later date. Shelby will be missed, but never forgotten.
"Celebrate we will, for life is short, but sweet for certain." - Dave Matthews
