Fish Lake algae advisory lifted

The Oregon Health Authority's Public Health Division has lifted a health advisory prompted by high levels of blue-green algae found in Fish Lake, according to a news release.

The original advisory was enacted July 1. It went into effect after water monitoring confirmed high levels of algae in the water. Algae can produce toxins harmful to humans and animals. It can make pets and people sick and can cause skin reactions.
