When the Medford School District lists its enrollment, are the charter school students included in the numbers?

"Yes, and yes," said Joe VonDoloski, administrator at Logos Public Charter School in Medford. He said that when the Medford district reports enrollment numbers to the state it also includes the 520 students at his school, which works primarily with homeschooled students.
Logos has a charter or contract with the Medford School District to follow state mandates for education. "We have a contract with them saying exactly what we have to do," he said.
VonDoloski's school also sends the Medford district 20 percent of the state revenues it receives based on attendance. "I just got through writing a half-million dollar check to Medford," he said.
The money is used primarily to cover administrative costs, he said.
Medford also has a charter with Madrone Trail Public Charter school, which has an enrollment of more than 150 students.
On the Medford School District website, the enrollment number for all schools, including the charter schools, is listed as 12,598.
