John Lenz grills up traditional burgers and hot dogs for the purists, and gourmet creations, concocted by customers and business partner Janet Lopez, for the more adventurous.
"I think what sets us apart is our vivid imagination and that we put together wild and crazy burgers," says Lopez. She and Lenz took over the business in 2007.
Among the more unusual creations are the Jiffy Burger with peanut butter, raspberry chipotle, bacon and Swiss cheese, and the Speedy Gonzales with mole sauce, poblano peppers, grilled onions and pepper-jack cheese. The menu includes other meat choices besides beef, including buffalo, elk, antelope and boar. Customers also have a choice of 23 different flavors of milkshakes to choose from to wash down all that meat.
Other favorites: Red Robin and Eddy's Almost Famous Burgers, both of Medford.
