  • Despite a cracked beam in the Bowmer and temporary relocation of several shows to a large tent in Lithia Park this summer, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival was chosen as the best place in the Rogue Valley to see live theater for the third year in a row.
"It's particularly great to hear that, given this season," says Amy Richard, OSF media and communications manager. "We're grateful to the community supporting us through this difficult season."
Twelve professionally produced plays in three venues over nine months aren't the only reasons OSF remains a favorite among Mail Tribune readers and a major tourism draw to Ashland. Its backstage tours, park talks and free Green Show performances also are popular.
"We do things in repertoire," Richard says. "There's a lot of different offerings that people can participate in."
Other favorites: Camelot Theatre, Talent, and Craterian Ginger Rogers Theater, Medford.
