The Rogue Valley's favorite place to wet a line continues to be the river that runs through it.
The Rogue River once again gains top reader tallies for Best Fishing Spot, retaining its consecutive streak of winning this category.
After all, its two runs of chinook salmon, two runs of steelhead, a run of coho salmon and native and hatchery trout all the way up to the far upper waters make the Rogue a year-round destination.
Not a week goes by without one of these species being available to catch somewhere in the river.
While readers are more than happy to vote for the Rogue as best, they didn't give up any specific hot spots, in typical if-I-tell-you-then-I'd-have-to-kill-you fashion.
Other favorites: Diamond Lake and Howard Prairie and Fish lakes (tie).
