State Farm insurance agent Shannon Walker-Harris is like a good neighbor to Readers' Choice voters, who appreciate her nearly quarter-century of experience insuring the lives, homes and vehicles of her clients.

Walker-Harris has been with State Farm since 1988 and has lived in the Rogue Valley since 1973.

Walker-Harris is active in the community, sponsoring safety events such as car-seat checks and supporting summer concerts at Bear Creek Park. She is a member of the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County.

Hallie Goings, a State Farm staff member, says clients appreciate Walker-Harris's people skills and knowledge of insurance.

"I think it's probably the hands-on personal touch she gives," Goings says of the Readers' Choice win. "She's a very caring woman. She is someone who is actually there. She's cognizant of a person's needs, smart as a whip and very much a people person."
