The Rogue Valley's favorite waitress for four years running, Jammie Lafon-Payne says she would be lost if Rooster's Restaurant in Medford ever "just went away."

Working the morning shift for 15 years, Payne has a large following of loyal customers, and she can guess what most of them will order when they walk in the door.

"After so many years, I guess I just know quite a few people. A lot of my friends on my Facebook are customers from over the years," says Payne.

"I love my job and talking to people, giving them a 'hard' time. I seem to be pretty good with people and I've never had someone really get mad with me. If someone isn't happy when they leave, then they must have been really grumpy when they got there and there wasn't anything I could do for them."

Payne can be visited at Rooster's, 350 E. Barnett Road.
