  • A hole in one with Mail Tribune readers each year, Centennial Golf Club has enjoyed a loyal following since it opened in 2006.
Designed by two-time PGA Tour winner and 1977 U.S. Amateur champion John Fought, the 18-holer is a sister course to nearby nine-hole Quail Point Golf Course, both managed by OB Sports.
Dubbed the sixth-best public course in the country by the 2010 Golf World magazine, the course is located at 1900 N. Phoenix Road.
Pro shop assistant Tyler Weist says the course is popular for the quality of its greens and the level of service provided to guests.
"I do believe it has a lot to do with the atmosphere, because most of our customers are just repeat customers who enjoy coming back and enjoy the quality of the course," Weist says.
"Our staff does a good job knowing who our customers are. I don't know if that sets us apart because there are a lot of good courses around here, but it's definitely an attribute that's worked for us."
Other favorites: Eagle Point Golf Club, Eagle Point, and Rogue Valley Country Club, Medford.
