  • Offering traditional Vietnamese fare such as spring rolls and variations of pho, a popular rice-noodle soup, has proven successful for the year-old Golden Wok in Medford.
    While the restaurant specializes in Chinese food, Golden Wok owner Michelle Ye, who also owns Ma's Restaurant in Central Point, says the half-dozen or so Vietnamese menu offerings, especially the pho (pronounced "fuh"), have been a big draw.
    The restaurant opened last year on the heels of ChiVi, a restaurant with more of a Vietnamese focus that closed after less than a year.
    Ye says staff members, some of whom worked for both restaurants, were honored to be recognized by Readers' Choice voters.
    "We really appreciate our customers for giving us this honor and for being our customers," she says.
    Golden Wok is at 718 S. Riverside Ave.
