Churches present Christmas Eve services
Here is a list of Christmas Eve services in the Rogue Valley:
- Hope Christian Church will hold a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at the church, 325 Oak St., Central Point. The service will include special music, Christmas Carols and a candlelight communion service. For more information, call 541-664-3905.
- A family-friendly service of lessons and carols will be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at First United Methodist Church of Ashland, 175 N. Main St. The service will include a performance from the Chancel Choir, with a guest appearance by Peanuts character "Sherman."
A Christmas communion service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 at the church. Call 541-482-3647.
In lieu of the service on Christmas Day, the Center for Spiritual Living will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at the center, 1119 Ellen Ave., Medford.
Services beginning January 1 will be held at the center's new location at 3581 Lear Way in Medford.

First Presbyterian Church will celebrate Christmas Eve with a dramatic re-telling of Martin Luther's Christmas Book at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at the church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford.
The church will offer one informal "come as you are" service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25 at the church. Children are welcome to wear pajamas, and an award will be given to the child with the best "bed head" hairstyle. For more information, call 541-776-5308.
