Occupy Ashland joins Martin Luther King Jr. Day events
The Occupy Ashland movement will celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. at noon Jan. 16 at the Ashland Armory on Oak Street, according to a news release.
Following the main program at the armory, there will be a march to the downtown Plaza. The "I Have a Dream" speech will be read, followed by an Occupy Ashland presentation, which will cover King's thoughts on poverty and economic justice. There will also be an open mic.
