Ashland ScienceWorks will feature several hands-on activities to show the science behind fire and ice Jan. 28 and 29.
The exhibits will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Admission is $5 for children ages 2 through 12 and senior citizens 65 and older, $7.50 for teenagers and adults.
Activities like dry ice bubbles, ice cube painting and flame testing will be available. A fire and ice show will be presented at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the facility's theater.
There also will be ice cream-making workshops. Make homemade ice cream from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:15 to 2 p.m. Sunday. See how to use liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Vanilla ice cream will cost $1 and coconut will cost $1.25.
