  • PHOENIX — Top-ranked 152-pounder Eleazar Deluca carried Phoenix with a big win over fifth-ranked Aaron Boatright of Mazama as the Pirates captured a 43-36 Skyline Conference wrestling victory Monday.

  • PHOENIX — Top-ranked 152-pounder Eleazar Deluca carried Phoenix with a big win over fifth-ranked Aaron Boatright of Mazama as the Pirates captured a 43-36 Skyline Conference wrestling victory Monday.
    Deluca's 11-3 triumph and an upset win by teammate Steven Sharbono 285 sparked Phoenix.
    Sharbono, ranked seventh, edged the fourth-ranked 220-pounder, Trevor Derra, 2-1. Derra, who moved up a weight class, defeated Sharbono the last time the two squared off.
    Each team forfeited in three weight classes.
    The Pirates finished the season 4-1 in the conference.
