  • Three South Medford hockey players recorded hat tricks to propel the Panthers to an 11-0 win over cross-town rival North Medford at The RRRink on Wednesday.
    South Medford (10-2) clinched the regular-season conference championship with the victory.
    Cy Jenson had three goals and four assists, Jake Sexton three goals and two assists and Ryan Lund three goals and one assist for the Panthers.
    Brandon Punsuk and Steven Weber each netted a goal for South, which opens the playoffs Feb. 8.
    Winning goalkeeper Johnny Lines made 20 saves.
