The sophomore forward sparked a record-setting vote for his performance in a win over Crane. Allen got 55 percent, or 841, of the 1,542 votes. The previous high total was about half that.

Against Crane, Allen made a steal and a layup for the go-ahead points, then another steal to cement a 49-48 win and send the Red Tail Hawks to the Class 1A state tournament. He had 20 points and 10 rebounds.
