A shot fired at a Crater Lake Avenue apartment complex March 27 could have been gang related, Medford police said in a news release today.
Medford police responded to an apartment complex at Crater Lake Avenue at 4:34 p.m. following a report of possible shots fired. When officers arrived, no one was at the apartment where the shots allegedly sounded from, but police found a shell casing, evidence that at least one round had been fired. Police said no one is believed to have been hurt during the incident.
Currently, police are looking for two men they believe have information about the incident.
Jose Manuel Macias, 21, is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. There is an outstanding warrant for Macias's arrest on charges of violating his parole following a second-degree robbery conviction.
Brandon Glen Bigham, 21, is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He also has brown hair and brown eyes. He is wanted for a probation violation following a drug conviction.
Police didn't release details about why investigators suspect the incident could be gang related.
