  • MEDFORD KIWANIS CLUB EASTER EGG HUNT: Candy and candy-filled plastic eggs are ripe for the picking at the Medford Kiwanis Club's 71st annual Easter egg hunt, happening at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Hawthorne Park, at Jackson and Hawthorne streets, Medford. Areas of the park will be designated for specific age groups — 2 and younger, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 and 7 through 9. There also will be an area for children with handicaps. Participants are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes before the hunt begins. The Easter Bunny will hand out balloons in the park. The event is free. Call 541-944-3088.
    EASTER EGG HUNT IN LITHIA PARK: Thousands of chocolate and colored eggs will be scattered throughout Lithia Park for the Rotary Club of Ashland's 55th annual Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 8, in the Butler Bandshell lawn area. Participants should arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. Children will be divided into five age brackets (2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9) to compete for the most eggs and the prized "golden egg." The Easter Bunny will be on hand. The event is free. Bring a basket or bag for goodies. Call 541-944-4555.
    EASTER EGG ROLL: Jacksonville Heritage Society will follow the annual White House tradition of hosting an old-fashioned Easter egg roll from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 8, on the lawn of the Beekman House, 452 E. California St., Jacksonville. There will be egg-roll races, egg decorating, an egg toss for adults, photo opportunities, prizes and live music by The Blank Notes. The event is free, but donations will benefit maintenance of the Beekman House. Call 541-245-3650.
    EASTER FESTIVAL: An Easter egg hunt, dragon-themed bounce house, balloons and egg-coloring contest will be available for children from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Troon Vineyard, 1475 Kubli Road, Grants Pass. The hunt for 1,200 candy-filled, plastic eggs will take place at 3 p.m. Only the first 200 children to arrive can participate, and they will receive a complimentary bag of treats.
