  • The First Presbyterian Church of Ashland will launch a new worship and Christian education schedule on Sunday, June 17, at the church, at the corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Walker Avenue.
    Starting Sunday, Christian education classes for all ages will begin at 9 a.m., followed by one worship service at 10 a.m. and then a time of fellowship for all.

    The Center for Spiritual Living will celebrate Father's Day with a brunch honoring all fathers at 9:30 a.m. before the service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 17,at the center, located in the Scottish Rite Center, 3581 Lear Way, Medford.
    Rev. Joy-Anne Fournier will continue her weekly meditation service on "Creating Money and Attracting Abundance" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the center.

    Anton Mizerak will perform transformational healing music at the worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 17, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford.
    Mizerak's CD "When Angels Dream" is a top-seller among healers and massage therapists, and will be available following the service. Rev. Rob Wheeler will give a Father's Day celebration message.

    Medford Adventist Church will hold a vacation bible school with the theme of "Operation Overboard" from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Friday, June 17-22, at the church, 1900 Greenwood St., Medford.

    The Havurah synagogue will host its second annual Interfaith Summer Solstice Celebration, featuring guest speakers from diverse traditions, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at the synagogue, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland.
    Joining Rabbi David Zaslow of the Havurah will be Rev. Ruth Tipler Kirby, independent new thought minister, Rev. Pam Shepherd of the United Church of Christ in Ashland, and Dimple Bakshi, a guest from India. Bakshi, daughter of Ashland teachers Krishna and Kumud Gokani, is a traditional Indian dancer. Her three dances each tell a story from sacred Indian writings.

    Ashland Bible Church will hold a circus-day event for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the church, 400 Dead Indian Memorial Road.
