  • Ray Mikota and Nici Goodman have joined 5 o'clock Marketing Group. Mikota has signed on as creative director. He is an award-winning video producer, copywriter and director with strengths in design and a fascination for particle, fractal and 3-D animation, and music composition. With more than 30 years of experience, he has owned or co-owned four advertising agencies over the past 20 years, producing hundreds of television and radio commercials, as well as print advertising campaigns.
    Mikota began with McCoy Advertising, later was a founding partner of EMMA Creative, then was with the Mikota Maentz Agency before going independent. His background touches on copywriting, creative directing and producing for a variety of clients, including Mitsubishi Electronics and Asante Health Systems. A graduate of Southern Oregon University with a focus on design and marketing, he also is certified from Vancouver Film School.
    Goodman is a media/client specialist, assisting account executives in media buys, client management and organization. She has worked in marketing, sales and media buying, with store-management and sales-associate experience in shops such as Coldwater Creek and Spirit Halloween.

    Christopher Pizzi has joined Providence Health & Services in Southern Oregon as director of finance for Providence Medford Medical Center. Pizzi assumed his position in April. He oversees the financial operations of the hospital and works together with both Providence Medical Group and Providence Health Plan.
    Pizzi has 14 years of health care finance experience. He most recently was director of national Medicare finance for Kaiser Permanente's Northwest region. He also served as manager of financial planning and budget for Salem Health in Salem. Pizzi received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Marylhurst University.
