  • “People Round the World” will be the theme of the new Takin’ It to the Street Chalk Art and Music Festival to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 23-24, on Bartlett Street in downtown Medford. Local and out-of-state artists will create chalk masterpieces on 8-by-8-foot squares of pavement. For $5, people can vote for their favorite three artists. For $3, children will receive chalk and a 2-by-2-foot plot for their own masterpiece. There also will be live music by Freeze-Dried Fusion, Jen Ambrose, Jeff Kloetzel, Bloombaum’s, Qi Brothers, Bonnie Wolfman, Jeremy Olivera, Mark Smith, Pete Herzog, Rob Cusumano and Rick Courier.
