Medford resident Cary Jones has been elected to the Oregon Historical Society Board of Trustees. The 34-member board provides oversight of the Oregon Historical Society. Founded in 1898, the Oregon Historical Society serves as the state's historical arm, gathering and preserving documents, manuscripts, publications, films, recordings and artifacts. The society preserves the significant cultural traditions of the diverse peoples of Oregon and has received high honors for its exhibits, its historical journal, the Oregon Historical Quarterly, and educational programs for the public.
Jones recently retired as general manager of KMVU television in Medford, and has an extensive career in television broadcasting. He is currently president of HC Solutions Inc., a business that provides risk management systems to health care providers.
Optometrist Benjamin Taylor has joined the Group Eyecare Center staff at 1430 E. McAndrews Road in Medford.
Taylor graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn., in 2011 and completed an Optometric Residency at the Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics in White City in June.

Bruce Hoevet has joined the team of Jan and Tom Monson at RE/MAX Ideal Brokers in Medford. Hoevet is a past chairman of the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County board and is former general manager at Rogue Regency Inn and Suites.

Mortgage loan officer Tammy Morgan received Umpqua Bank Home Lending's Circle of Excellence award for the second quarter of 2012. The award is earned by the top producing loan officers throughout Umpqua's Home Lending Division.
Morgan has more than 20 years of lending and escrow experience in the region. She was twice named the Associate of the Year by the Jackson County Home Builders Association and serves as its treasurer.
Morgan has twice received employer awards for 100 percent customer loyalty and satisfaction. She serves on the Board for the Hope Equestrian Center, a nonprofit organization providing therapeutic horseback rides to special needs people throughout Southern Oregon.
Ryan Mateson and Stacy Condello have joined the First American Title staff in Medford. Mateson is a title officer who started in the industry 12 years ago, working for State Title Agency in Arizona. In 2003, he moved back home to Oregon and went to work for Lawyers Title until 2009 and then AmeriTitle.
Condello, an escrow assistant, has been in escrow since 2005 and worked with construction disbursement and residential transactions. The Pennsylvania native previously held a similar post with AmeriTitle.

The Klamath Falls office is staffed by Richard Ledgerwood, co-founder of Elliott-Ledgerwood & Co., the predecessor firm to South Valley Wealth Management; Clark Pederson, who started working with Foster & Marshall just before its merger with Shearson/American Express; Martin Ledgerwood, who joined the Elliott-Ledgerwood firm and South Valley after previously serving as an intern with Smith Barney in Spokane, Wash.; Alison McKay, who has 16 years of experience in the securities industry; and Jackie Bland, a 17-year veteran in the securities industry.

Susan Naumes has joined the Southern Oregon/Northern California regional advisory board for U.S. Bank in Medford. Naumes recently retired from more than 30 years with her family corporation, Naumes Inc., a Medford-based fruit growing and processing company.
The company has more than 5,300 acres of holdings in three states. Naumes' career with the company included directing orchard and packing-house operations, division management and the development of a juice-concentrate plant in Washington state. An attorney by training, Naumes oversaw all government relations, negotiated leases, reviewed contracts and wrote personnel policies.
