    CENTRAL POINT — The second annual Community Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the First Presbyterian Church of Central Point, 456 W. Pine St.
    Admision is free, and food and refreshments will be offered for sale.
    Activities will include a kids carnival with games and prizes, a bake sale, a dunk tank and activities for seniors. Entertainment will be provided by musicians Ron Judd and the band 2nd Hand Dreamers. Call 541-951-4967.
    The Rev. Rob Wheeler will give a sermon entitled "In His Name" at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 29, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford.
    Guest speaker Rebecca Lynne will visit for a sermon and workshop on Sunday, Aug. 5. She will give a sermon on "Our Evolutionary Blueprint" at 10 a.m. at the church, and follow with a workshop on "The Secret Triangle of Life, Death and Evolution" from noon to 4:30 p.m.

    ASHLAND — Rabbi Joshua Boettiger will be welcomed as Temple Emek Shalom's new rabbi at upcoming Sabbath services at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, and 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the temple, 1800 E. Main St.
    A reception will follow the Friday evening service, and the Saturday morning service will include a Torah reading and discussion entitled "Nothing but a Voice."
