  • Medford archer Justin Goslin ended his youth career on top.
The 14-year-old freshman-to-be at North Medford High School easily outshot his competition last weekend to win the Oregon State 3D Championship and lock up his second overall state championship in three years.
Goslin came out hot Saturday during the two-day competition at the Beekman Ridge Archery course near Eagle Point, then finished plenty strong to win the event by 20 points — the equivalent of a three-touchdown win in football.
"The first day I did really well, and it made the difference," Goslin says. "Everything felt really good."
Goslin won the three-tournament triple crown in 2010, then fell just short last year in the category for ages 12 to 14 years old.
He'll now move into the Young Adult category for shooters aged 15 to 17.
He previously won the Oregon State Field Championships in June outside of Eugene and took second by two points February during the Oregon State Indoor Championships in Lincoln City.
