WHITE CITY — Kyle Hurst secured the win in the Kendall Oil 360 Interstate Sprint Car Main Event at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday.
Kyle Miller bolted to the early lead in the 16-car field but was passed by Mitch Olson on Lap 11.
On Lap 24, Hurst claimed the lead and held it for three laps until Philip Del Rosa flipped in the back straightaway. The race was halted while Del Rosa's mangled car was towed to the pit area.
The race was restarted with Hurst leading the way, and he hung on to triumph in the 30-lap feature. Hurst also won the sprint car main event Friday night in Yreka, Calif.
Southern Oregon Speedway will host the Rolling Thunder Big Rigs next Saturday. Racing will feature full-size semi trucks.
