  • Brett Quave has joined the medical staff at Touchstone, Southern Oregon's Pain Relief and Wellness Center. Quave is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Medicine and is board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine. He practiced interventional pain medicine in Yakima, Wash., where he developed and was medical director of Water's Edge, a large hospital-based pain program in central Washington.

    Ross Waddell will join the Ashland-based Harvey A. Meier Co. as a senior consultant. Waddell spent the past five years as a senior executive at various technology startups, where he completed numerous strategic plans, investment fundings, financial prospectives and board presentations.
    Before his technology ventures, Waddell was a senior executive at Kinko's Inc. for more than 18 years, serving as chief financial officer, vice president of U.S. operations, vice president of purchasing, and vice president of real estate and development for Kinko's Inc.
    During that period Kinko's grew from a 50 branch, $28 million firm to having more than 1,150 branches and $2.2 billion in annual revenue. Before Kinko's, he worked as a certified public accountant.

    Veteran Rogue Valley radio personality Judi Austin has retired Friday after a career that began with KYJC in 1984.
    She also worked for KMED before moving to KRWQ. Austin spent the better part of three decades as an afternoon personality on KRWQ before joining program director Larry Neal on the morning show in 2009. Austin also has been promotions coordinator for the local Bicoastal Media group.

    Avista has promoted Collins Sprague to government relations director, overseeing legislative, political and public policy activities related to Avista customers, shareholders and community stakeholders.
    For the past 22 years, Sprague has served as Avista's manager of Washington state government relations.
    He succeeds Tom Paine, who retired in early August after more than three decades with the company.
