Crusaders notch win in opener

ETNA, Calif. — Nina Console compiled 16 kills and 10 assists to help the St. Mary's volleyball team shrug off some nerves and capture a nonleague season-opening win, 16-25, 25-12, 25-21, 25-15, on Friday.

Olivia Boucher added eight kills and Lina Allen tallied seven for the Crusaders (1-0).

Crusaders setter Madeline Gregg racked up 45 assists.
